My barbering career started at fifteen when I was waiting to have my haircut in Mr Barbers, Bury St Edmunds, and asked if there were any jobs available sweeping after school. I had never thought about becoming a barber and had never picked up a pair of clippers in my life, but this soon became the beginning of my apprenticeship and my career.

The apprenticeship with Mr not only taught me how to professionally cut hair but enabled me to grow in confidence. With Mr’s support, entering competitions, appearing on stage at Salon International and my passion for Barbering has all contributed to the Barber I am today.

Barbering has been a keen interest of mine since a young age, so when I was 16 I enrolled on a Barbering apprenticeship with west Suffolk college. I completed my apprenticeship after a year and a half, finishing with a nvq “level 2 in barbering”.

After working full time for a year, gaining lots of experience and building a loyal customer base, I decided I wanted to widen my knowledge and further my education of barbering. With this I took my NVQ level 3 with the London school of barbering. After staying in London for the duration of my course I decided  the busy London lifestyle was for me making a permanent move.

After 3 busy years of cutting hair in various parts of the city, I am now back to my home town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk

I started cutting hair at 16. Working around the local area such as Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket. My passion for barbering has always motivated me to continue to learn and grow in the industry.

I started a barbering apprenticeship and this helped me grow a lot. Not just in my career, but  as a person. I’ve also gone on to expand my knowledge of barbering doing other courses, and I’m not looking to stop anytime soon :)
