Following the government announcement we won’t be able to open until the 12th of April at the earliest. Our booking system will be back up and running after the next government review (in roughly 5 weeks time), depending on what is said. But we will try to give everyone 2 weeks notice to book, before we start cutting again! We will keep you all up to date via our Instagram, email and the website.
Hope to see you all soon
On Point Barbers Team
My barbering career started at fifteen when I was waiting to have my haircut in Mr Barbers, Bury St Edmunds, and asked if there were any jobs available sweeping after school. I had never thought about becoming a barber and had never picked up a pair of clippers in my life, but this soon became the beginning of my apprenticeship and my career.
The apprenticeship with Mr not only taught me how to professionally cut hair but enabled me to grow in confidence. With Mr’s support, entering competitions, appearing on stage at Salon International and my passion for Barbering has all contributed to the Barber I am today.
Oli Norman, Owner
Barbering has been a keen interest of mine since a young age, so when I was 16 I enrolled on a Barbering apprenticeship with west Suffolk college. I completed my apprenticeship after a year and a half, finishing with a nvq “level 2 in barbering”.
After working full time for a year, gaining lots of experience and building a loyal customer base, I decided I wanted to widen my knowledge and further my education of barbering. With this I took my NVQ level 3 with the London school of barbering. After staying in London for the duration of my course I decided the busy London lifestyle was for me making a permanent move.
After 3 busy years of cutting hair in various parts of the city, I am now back to my home town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
